We're so glad you're here!

We are a husband and wife team on a mission to build cool sh!t. Colton (Colt) and Crystal (Crit - it's weird, we know) started playing around with woodwork in Colton's crammed garage in 2019... well, Colton really started the woodwork while Crystal supported with her presence and an abundance of White Claws. Colton had a specific project in mind that was driving him up the wall, so he caved and bought a CNC router... boy, did that change everything.

With Colton always in the garage, Crystal decided she'd get a garage-worthy hobby too and picked up some epoxy resin. That's when things got interesting! The first big duo project was an outdoor Settlers of Catan game board made for an awesome bar and friend at The Powder Keg in Houston. We went crazy with projects after that, but woodworking and resin projects were still just a side-hustle/hobby.

In April of 2022, we officially started ColtCrit, and two months later, Colton stepped away from his career in industrial sales to pursue the business full-time! Colton is "the guy" - Mr. CEO, the boss man, man with a plan, project maximizer, big thinker. Crystal works on the business part-time outside of her corporate career, handling a lot of the design and resin work. Together, we're able to build cool stuff for people like you!
